Our Health and Safety Advisor, Samantha Booth has recently graduated with an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. The qualification, utilising Shields Vocational Training (SVT), was achieved by Samantha with the full support and funding of Logan Construction.
The online course was selected to enhance Samantha’s knowledge of health and safety in construction and complement her existing NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety qualification.
Logan Construction continue to invest and promote staff training and development, with the company facilitating study time, mentoring and necessary support to complete the course modules. Company directors assisted by reviewing each module and writing progress reports detailing how Samantha was incorporating course objectives into her regular role as the company’s health and safety advisor.
Samantha commented: “I’m delighted to have achieved this graduation and acknowledge the proactive support the company has provided in my career development. I believe this qualification has enhanced my skills and will assist me to develop the H&S role for the benefit of all site staff.’’
Karen Bateman, the company’s HR & Training Manager agreed with the comment: “The Company is fully committed to developing and training its people.
