The works included the removal of existing specified partitions, forming of new door openings and installation of new partitions, supply and fixing of new purpose made joinery and sanitary ware in accordance with HTM Guidelines, flooring, ceilings and decoration finishes. The main mechanical services installations comprised of the full re-instatement of Public Health Services, Medical Gases & Heating with minor alterations made to the existing ventilation system. The electrical services installations comprised of the full re-instatement of a new nurse call system, fire alarms, lighting, small power, and infrastructure for Patient-Line and Data services.
The successful completion of this project was facilitated by Logan’s understanding and knowledge of the importance to coordinate and manage timely procurement of the various packages with particular attention on the M&E services to drive the project forward, meeting the Clients expectations.
Health & Safety along with infection control were fundamental in ensuring the surrounding Wards were kept operation whilst undertaking the refurbishment works. A robust and thorough CDM Plan was established and maintained throughout the Project.
