The project entailed the alterations to the existing Laboratory accommodation on the 8th Floor of the Laboratory Block, Charing Cross Hospital, to facilitate the new Non-Routine Chemistry Department. The works involved the demolition of internal partitions and installation of new partitions to form a main laboratory and associated offices and seminar room. Alterations and adaptations to the existing electrical and mechanical services were undertaken with the provision of new cold rooms. New laboratory furniture along with new flooring and ceilings were installed. New finishes with fixtures and finishes were completed throughout.
The successful completion of this project was facilitated by Logan’s understanding and knowledge of the importance to coordinate and manage timely procurement of the various packages to drive the project forward. A proactive approach to overcoming challenges encountered under the Project and working with the Client facilitated timely completion.
Health & Safety along with infection control were fundamental in ensuring the surrounding occupied areas were kept operation whilst undertaking the refurbishment works. A robust and thorough CDM Plan was established and maintained throughout the Project.
