The works involved the internal refurbishment of the 3rd and 4th floors of the Arthur Edwards Building. Provision was made to complete demolition of all internal walls and reconfigure to office layouts, corridors and general facilities on each floor. The works included for all new glazed and pre-finished partition walls, ceilings, flooring, lighting, ventilation, and finishes.
The successful completion of this project to complete over the summer months within the short contract period was enabled by Logans ability to adequately resource timely procurement of labour and materials required to complete the volume of work in the time frame desired by the Client. Active management of progress through weekly subcontractor meetings facilitated a proactive approach to resolving any challenges encountered.
Logan Construction worked closely with the Planning Coordinator and the University to ensure the lower floors to the Building remained accessible whilst safely undertaking the works. The implementation of external access scaffolding and hoists mitigated any interaction with third parties and facilitated the safe and efficient progress of works.
