Project Name: Royal Surrey County Hospital A&E Department
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Principal Consultants: ADP Architecture
Project Duration: TBC
We are currently undertaking the redevelopment of the Royal Surrey County Hospital Accident and Emergency department to provide modern and upgraded facilities that deliver a revised care pathway. The RSCH want to deliver a ‘centre of excellence’ which delivers positive outcomes for patients. The new department will integrate GP services with A&E, increase overall capacity, create a positive environment for both staff and patients and enable RSCH to deliver a space that adheres to the national healthcare design guidance.
The project is being undertaken across three phases, with phase one having a total of fourteen sub-phases, all being delivered in a logical and considerate manner to enable the department to remain fully functional throughout.
We are currently working on Phase 1 of the scheme, with four of the fourteen sub-phases already completed. The photos shown above are of Phases 1a and 1b, which house new consulting rooms, minors treatment area and admissions office.
