2021 marks the 25th Anniversary of Logan Construction

What started 25 years ago as a three-person family small building business has now grown into a 2nd-generation construction company with an enviable reputation for the successful delivery of complex health, education and commercial sector projects.

Logan Construction has achieved consistent growth throughout the 25 years and is now led by a 6 strong management team and 75 employees.  With offices in both London and Kent, we now manage projects for public and private sector clients throughout London and the South East.

We have established an excellent reputation for successful delivery on complex projects, primarily in the health and education sectors.  This continues to be core to our business.

Family Values and Members

Our company is a family-owned business and was established in 1996 by Bill Logan who has a lifetime worth of experience in construction.

In 2002, his son William joined our company, bringing with him financial and commercial experience.

Bill’s two daughters are also part of the family business; with Maggie being company secretary since 1996 and Sharon appointed as a Director in 2011.

Back in 1996 Bill invested the family savings in the company, as he was and still is averse to borrowing from banks.  He retained the services of three site managers from his previous company and two clients placed Logan Construction on an approved supplier list with tender opportunities promptly following.

The vision in 1996 was very simple:

  • Provide clients with a value for money service, which gave solutions to obstacles and not problems thus creating repeat business.
  • Build a team of talented individuals, developing them and providing them with opportunities to progress within a growing company.
  • To have a turnover in excess of £1m with a reasonable margin, which was achieved in the second year of trading.

Bill and the family are extremely pleased that the original vision has been surpassed, thanks to the talent and hard work of our team past and present.

The biggest accomplishments have been in extending the client base and turnover, whilst retaining the core values of the company.

From humble roots, this motto has enabled our company to grow into a Main Contractor with a robust portfolio that sustainably develops each year.  Consistent turnover of over £30m, providing a local workforce with stimulating employment and youngsters with exciting career routes into the Construction industry; we proudly serve London and the entire South-East.

Future Plans

  • Continue our success at a sustainable rate, whilst keeping the close ties that bind a family-run business together.
  • Expand our support service to our valued NHS partners.
  • Continue to expand learning opportunities with both with public and independent school clients.
  • Continue to deliberate and penetrate new markets to expand our valued client base – specifically through public sector frameworks.
  • Reach above our SME status to achieve a £50m turnover.

Bill has now handed the baton to William.  William became MD in 2015.  The family are confident that the next 25 years will be as successful.

Our strategy is to continue our sustainable development into a Tier 1 Main Contractor who retains the family culture of a local SME.
