City of London Office Refurbishment

We are excited to share details about our recently completed project located in a prominent office building in the City of London. Originally built in the early 2000s, this impressive structure features fourteen stories, including a river level, mezzanine, ground floor, and eleven upper floors, standing at approximately 35.2 meters tall from the ground level to the top floor. The mezzanine and river levels are situated below the ground level and do not extend beyond 6.3 meters in depth.

Project Overview

On the 4th floor, we undertook a significant refurbishment to transform the space into a modern office facility. Our work included stripping out existing finishes and fitting out the area to include:

• HR Office – one dedicated space for human resources functions, designed for privacy and efficiency.
• Conference Rooms – two conference rooms equipped with AV technology for meetings and presentations.
• Meeting Rooms – four meeting rooms for collaborative discussions and team activities.
• Small Meeting Rooms – two smaller meeting rooms for informal meetings and focused work sessions.
• Reception Waiting Area – a welcoming reception area for clients and visitors, enhancing the overall first impression.
• Print Hub – a centralised print hub for efficient printing and copying services.
• IT Server Room – a dedicated space for housing IT infrastructure and services.
• Personal Lockers – a total of 300 personal lockers for employees to store their belongings securely.

Work Schedule and Noise Regulation

To minimise disruption, noisy work activities were restricted to specific hours. Additionally, all noisy work required prior written approval from the building manager, ensuring that the needs of other tenants were respected during the refurbishment.

Conclusion

The office refurbishment project successfully transformed the existing space into a modern, functional work environment. By focusing on employee needs and ensuring compliance with building regulations, the project not only enhanced workplace aesthetics but also improved operational efficiency.
