Education

Logan Construction specialises in all areas of refurbishment and new build projects, predominately for educational facilities and NHS trusts. With extensive experience in these fields, we are able to offer a value-added approach and understanding of our clients’ requirements.

Our company maintains strong relationships with a wide variety of tried and tested subcontractors, many of whom are specialists within the education sector. This strong supply chain enables us to provide flexibility, manage change and maintain quality.

Our sites are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. This illustrates our commitment to being sensitive and good neighbours, as well as clean, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable.

We encourage early engagement with our clients at the conception of a project. Our focus is on initially understanding and appreciating our client’s outline design brief and ultimate expectations. We pride ourselves in working closely with our clients and everyone involved.

The majority of our projects are successfully completed within occupied buildings. We offer every refurbishment project a proactive and flexible approach to problem solving, an essential attribute when working in an occupied environment. Safety of students, staff and the general public is paramount. We are very aware of the environment we are working in and that close liaison with the educational team and ourselves is essential.

We believe that our success in such contracts is due to our ability to work closely with staff to minimise the impact of building works on day-to-day school life, thereby ensuring the safety and welfare of students, teachers and anyone else affected by our activities. When undertaking any form of construction project, large or small, we plan building activities around the curriculum so that classes remain undisturbed and the new facilities can be ready for the start of term.

Fast-Track

Fast-track projects within the education sector are a regular feature for us! We are often approached to undertake major building works during a school or university’s summer break, whilst the educational facility is at its quietest.

We have proven ability to mobilise quickly through a robust pool of relevantly experienced personnel. Underpinning this is a dedicated supply-chain with considerable strength in depth, allowing the appointment of a specialist who can suitably achieve the fast-track programme.

Strong focus on site logistic plans, agreed access/egress routes, security and segregation of the works, dust and noise control, permit to work systems specifically relating to M&E Services, all lead to successful projects that are handed over to the client, both on time and within budget.
