Great Results From Recent Considerate Constructors Scheme Visit

24 February 2023

Congratulations to our site team scoring an impressive 38/45 following recent CCS visit

The project is located within the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in the Southwood Building in Central London – a landlocked site with very restrictive access and egress.  This CCS visit was in respect to the remodelling and fitout works we are carrying out on the 6th floor to provide a new in and out patients department.  The floors above and below the works are occupied and the site neighbours are other hospital buildings along with a mixture of commercial and residential properties.

The site monitor said “the site was very well organised, clean and tidy, with robust safety and emergency arrangements in place.”

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a not-for-profit, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.

Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
