Full refurbishment and expansion of the A&E provision at St Mary’s Hospital – one of four major incident centres within the capital. The project included enabling works, refurbishment of drugs preparation area, upgrade to temporary clinical store, provision of temporary resus unit and rapid assessment treatment area, refurbishment of main resuscitation area, new reception, waiting areas and offices and finally conversion of the temporary resus unit into a new paediatric clinical decision unit including triage rooms.

Refurbishment of the ear, nose and throat department which formed part of the outpatients unit. This project was undertaken within a ‘live’ environment and over four phases.
Phase One – refurbishment and upgrade of consultation rooms, vision test rooms, main reception and public waiting areas.
Phase Two – refurbishment of audiology department including consultation rooms, rehabilitation rooms, reception and waiting rooms.
Phase Three – refurbishment of eye department including treatment and laser rooms, staff room, store room and waiting area.
Phase Four – upgrade of Orthoptist department including consultation rooms, field testing rooms and waiting area.

The Surgical Innovation and Theatre scheme was for the refurbishment of multiple floors within the hospital to provide new ward areas, operating theatres and a mammography suite. Alongside this we installed a new external substation to support infrastructure upgrades and an additional plant room on a newly created fifth floor via a steel frame solution.
