Lavington Street

Kings College London

Refurbishment of 23,500 sqft of office space for Kings College London to provide a bright, functional environment for IT, Estates and Projects staff to work in. The 3rd and 4th floors of 5-11 Lavington Street SE1 have been renewed for the first time since the building was constructed.

We undertook a soft refurbishment that included painting, decorating, replacing floors and renewing kitchen space as well as small builders works including installation of new shower areas.

Surveys were undertaken at the start of the project which highlighted some issues with services and facilities.

We offered to remediate these for the client and extended our scope of works and programme to accommodate these changes.

Works had to be undertaken considerately as the floors above and below were occupied throughout. This included utilising a dedicated access route into the site via a small passenger lift.

We liaised closely with KCL’s ICT and AV contractors throughout to ensure that the supply we installed was suitable and ready for connections in the latter half of the programme.
