LEWISHAM HOSPITAL – WINTER PRESSURES REFURBISHMENT
- Two stage works
- Works within active area of hospital
- Phased works to keep bed loss to minimum
- Project completed on time and to budget
Full refurbishment of hospital wards with minimum impact on nursing operations and patients. This contract was secured on a two stage basis to assist with the very tight delivery timescales and involved the complete refurbishment of six wards including new ceilings, walls, floors, M&E and associated systems. By utilising shifts we maximised available working time. For example the 1,000 m2 Stroke ward was completely refurbished in 8.5 weeks with up to 70 operatives on site in any one day.
LEWISHAM HOSPITAL – DIGITAL X-RAY UNIT
Refurbishment and remodelling of the digital X-Ray suite on a very restricted site which is surrounded on all sides by existing hospital buildings (including highly sensitive hospital departments) that had to remain fully operational at all times during the works.
LEWISHAM HOSPITAL – DELIVERY WARD
- 9 week refurbishment project
- Live hospital site
- Medical gas installations
Refurbishment of delivery and maternity ward carried out whilst maintaining the full functionality and use of the remaining delivery ward. The project required the installation of a new AHU in the plant room and associated ventilation in several areas. New Wandsworth bedhead trunking and associated services, including new medical gas installations, were also delivered. New walk-in showers were installed and works co-ordinated to maintain minimal disruption to the ward area below.
