Northwood & Pinner Groundbreaking Ceremony

This week marked an exciting milestone as Logan Construction celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony at the Northwood & Pinner Health Centre!

The event brought together local MP David Simmonds (Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, Conservative), local councillors, our client NPS Property Services (NHS PS) and key figures from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), NHS service providers, representatives from the North West London Integrated Care Board (NWL ICB) and project managers from Gardiner & Theobald. This collaborative gathering symbolises a promising future for healthcare in the community and everyone is eager to see the positive impact this new facility will bring!

NHS PS are delighted construction is underway, with this state-of-the-art facility set to open in the summer of 2026. This project represents a significant investment of £12 million in the Hillingdon constituency.

Logan Construction was thrilled to have been awarded this project through the ProCure23 (P23) framework.  The works are for the refurbishment and extension to a listed building, transforming it into a modern 1,500 sqm health centre. Originally constructed in the 1920s and used as a cottage hospital during the war, the building had been vacant since the late 2000’s.

The new health centre will offer a range of services, including district nursing, ambulatory wound care, health visiting/school nursing, diabetes clinic, bladder and bowel care, general practice surgery, diabetic eye screening, mental health services, and talking therapies.

The facility will also feature three garden areas, cycle stores, staff showers, collaborative meeting spaces, EV charging stations, water efficient flow restrictors and new trees and planting to increase biodiversity. Additionally, air-source heat pumps, LED lighting and thermal efficient building fabric have been used to improve the buildings energy performance.
