The Stokes Centre for Urology has been judged to demonstrate outstanding excellence in winning overall ‘Project of the Year’ and also ‘Healthcare Project of the Year’ in the first ever RICS social impact awards 2020 South East.

This World-leading medical facility is two storey in height, spans 1600m2 and is connected to the main hospital via a link building. Now complete, the centre provides; a procedure room, two minor procedure rooms, a recovery area, consulting rooms, staff administration space, seminar/lecture rooms, private consultation offices, clinical facilities, storage and utility areas.

The new Urology Centre was completed on-time, within budget and to the delight of the Trust.

The judges said “This project has a tremendous human and social impact. The centre treats prostate cancer patients in a newly built clinic. It consolidates specialist services and contains Europe’s largest theatre for brachytherapy, with a cure rate of over 90%. Referrals come from across the UK and internationally.”

A huge congratulations to all the team involved.
