New Cancer Diagnostic Hub – Works In Progress

Project description:

  • Currently being delivered with occupied departments in immediate vicinity to our works
  • Multi-phased programme in operation to allow for safe conditions for Hospital staff and patients surrounding the site
  • Works continue to progress safely during COVID-19 pandemic; in complete compliance to Government guidelines and Construction Leadership Council Site Operating Procedures Version 5

Currently, we are managing the formation of a new cancer diagnostic hub at Mile End Hospital. When complete, this will provide the Trust with a revitalised screening, treatment and surveillance facility. To achieve this brief, we are refurbishing the existing occupational therapy department, general administration area and treatment spaces, which are situated adjacent to the main entrance at ground floor level.

The project is heavily engineered, requiring new services throughout. At all times, we are vigilantly coordinating services works with the Trust and our approved supply-chain, in appreciation of the robust management required in operational Hospital sites.

Owing to the occupied Hospital environmental, we are operating our proven duty of care system. This ensures that the Hospital staff and patients are safe, segregated and do not have their routines interrupted by our works. Critically, this system has been dynamically enhanced to comply with the current COVID-19 safe operating procedures.
